Neo-gothic bird ring

Oxidised and gold-plated sterling silver ring. The bird decorations on the shoulder are based on designs by Augustus Pugin. The oval stone is 10mm by 8mm and available in several colours. It weighs approximately 6g.

Augustus Pugin (1812-1852) was an architect, designer, artist and critic. He was a pioneer of the Gothic Revival style of architecture. As an architect he was responsible for the interior of the British Houses of Parliament (The Palace of Westminster) and it's famous clock tower which houses and is commonly known as Big Ben. He designed many churches around England and some in Ireland and Australia. He also designed Alton Castle.
